Hello! I'm Tess. I am so excited you're here.

A little bit about me... I grew up on a small hobby farm in Dallas, WV with horses, chickens, goats, and gardens. My love of horses - all animals actually - started at a young age and continued to grow with me. By the time I was eight, I had my own horse, Crocket, who, in all his stubbornness, taught me how to hang on and enjoy the ride.  

Today, I am blessed with two nutty geldings, Whitley and Merle. With my continuous antics, they've become lousy models, but they are the first horses I photographed and the reason I fell in love with photography. When I look at their portraits, I am reminded of just how magnificent they are and how much God truly loves us, to have given us an animal so big, yet so gentle; so beautiful, yet so humble; and so quirky, yet so easily lovable.

Though I love photographing horses, there is something so special about documenting the inner workings of a farm and delivering the pictures to the people who've worked so hard to make that farm everything it is. I love meeting new people and learning about their lives, their passions, and the legacy they'll leave behind. Every farm I visit is a such a fun and unique experience, and I find so much joy in the knowledge and friends I've gained with every visit.
